The Sky is the Limit!
“Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars.”
- Norman Vincent Peale
I have always loved that quote. I am sure that everyone who has heard it also loves it. I am in a season where when I look at the stars I have this feeling of both how big and small at the same time that I am in this universe. I have found myself in a season filled with potential. When I look around me I see so many strange opportunities and I am taking steps forward with some pause for prayer and consideration. I am finding more and more who I am and what it is that the Lord has created me to be through the little things more than the big things. Sometimes the biggest changes in our lives come to being in the quietest of moments and subtlest of ways. There are so many moving parts in what the Lord is doing in my life right now and I am not yet privy to the big picture but and looking forward to seeing more of the constellations of what God is doing in my life right now! The sky is the limit in the sense that there are no limits to where my potential has the possibility of taking me as this season unfolds. I have at least the workings of a book in me for sure. I am starting to meet the characters whose story I know the Lord wants me to tell! I am looking forward to sharing the stories and adventures they have to convey! For this season I am doing the work in front of me and capturing the moments I have to share like the moments at the beach staring at the stars and then capturing that on film and having some extra fun with those moments. I had the joy of photographing Sarah & Michael McGinn two young people who I have known since they were born! I was at Oak Island with thier family because thier big sister was getting married. I wanted to capture a photo of the night sky for her as a gift for the wedding and these two joined me at the beach when I was out taking the photos and I asked if they wanted to have a little fun taking some pictures. I don’t always have someone to work with in some of these types of shoots. It was so much fun! Below are the photos from Thursday Night Last week and also there are shots from Saturday night when there were clouds that night I was by myself. That didn’t stop me from trying some fun shots. I took the ones below as well of some self-portraits with the stars as a backdrop. Those photos are not here right now because I want to sort and edit those to share separately. I am so glad to have you as a part of my journey and I look forward to seeing where this road goes as we move into the future!
