Week Nineteen & Week Twenty
Sorry to kinda squish Nineteen in with Twenty It started with me getting back from Hawaii to San Francisco at Midnight the night Daylight Saving Time kicked in an deciding that it would be a great idea to drive all the way to Redding that night. I arrived to Redding at the newly minted 5:30 am and proceeded to sleep most of the next day and then try to work through being sick on Monday. Mom got back to Redding from her trip to Switzerland late on Monday night. I was still a sick for the rest of the week and worked. I left on Friday for the Washington side of the Portland Area! I was welcomed to my new room with candy and other goodies by the kids of the family I am a guest of here in the area. Because of my proximity to Portland I was able to connect with an old CFNI friend that I haven't seen in around 10 years! It was great to connect with her on Saturday! I was very excited to see her because she is at least a small part of me starting this journey! For those who have not heard the story it all started over a year ago! At the end of February 2017 the Lord had started talking about leaving Dallas which I had nit considered for a long time having really set down roots and I was enjoying those roots after growing up without deep ones because I was a military brat used to relocating at a moments notice. But when I moved to Dallas my Family came with me that six years ago and I started putting down roots telling the Lord that if I ever leave this place I needed Him to give me notice to that I can start loosening my roots and have a smooth transition. So many of my moves growing up were short notice and each time I left a place I felt yanked out and as though I had left a part of me behind. God being the amazing and Honoring Father He is Honored my request by preparing my heart for departure in February when I was leaving at the end of October. The only difficult part was I knew I was leaving in 6 months but He choose to withhold from me where I was going. So I started talking to my leadership telling them I knew I was leaving but I didn't know where I was going! With what I do I wasn't overly worried about where I would work from because As long as I have internet and my computer I was good to go! So in April Starbucks told me I needed to earn a few more stars in order to keep my Gold Status with them so I proceeded to post this status on my Facebook wall to all my friends. If you click the image you can see the responses! It was great to get 10 or so responses but the funny thing about this list of responses is the closest person to me that was up for coffee was my best friend and although she was in the same state as me there was an 8 hour drive that had to be made for us to enjoy a cup together in the same place!
One of the People who responded was Cory. Below is my response and ensuing conversation.
The important part is the Conversation stuck with me! I really meant what I said about wishing I lived closer to all my friend. So a little over a month later while I was in Redding for my Mom's Graduation the Lord finally saw fit to tell me what he had in mind for my future. I woke up one morning thinking about my Grandparents and about this very conversation and how I would love to visit the west coast and visit all the places I have never been in this beautiful country and the Lord laid the foundations of an idea on my heart that I was sure was completely insane but I would pray about it as well as talk to my leaders and see what they had to say! I am guessing you can put together the results of those prayers and conversations! God was all over this decision and I honestly belive that there is no safer place to be than in the middle of God's Perfect will for your life!
